During the days of Jesus the spiritual fathers already existed so Jesus said: And don't address anyone here on earth as 'Father,' for only God in heaven is your spiritual Father. (Matthew 23:9 NLT)
The church worldwide has began to endorse this spiritual father thing. This is normal in the Roman Catholic Church since the pastor is called "father" and the bishop of the bishops is called pope which translates "father", and they also call the pope "holy father"
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked.
People of this age took gospel and made it their own but the gospel is the gospel of the Kingdom of heaven and cannot be made a franchise or an enterprise.
